Deere Debuts New Vibratory Plate Compactor Attachments

Moline, Illinois,-based John Deere, one of the largest agriculture, construction, and forestry equipment manufacturers in the world, has just released a new series of Worksite Pro plate compactor attachments for its lineup of compact excavators and backhoes.

Pounding The Ground

John Deere’s PC4, PC7, and PC10 High-Performance Vibratory Plate Compactors are designed to attach to a wide range of Deere machines, including the company’s 26G, 30G, 35, 50G, and 60G compact excavators and its 310L, 310L EP, 310SL, 310SL HL, 315SL, and 410L backhoes. The new attachments are also compatible with a number of non-Deere machines with support for Worksite Pro components and are designed to handle a variety of trench, slope, and excavation compaction tasks.

Quality By Design

The new plate compactor attachments rely on a large eccentric rotating weight that runs at frequencies up to 2,000 rpm and is capable of producing up to 8,000 pounds (3,629 kilograms) of vibratory and impulse force. Deere built the attachment’s motor into its frame, which results in a reliable and durable construction. Other features include hydraulic motor bearings that rely on oil splash lubrication and maintenance-free sealed eccentric bearings.

The PC4 is 13 inches (33 centimeters) wide and capable of generating 4,000 pounds (1,814 kilograms) of impulse force, the PC7 is 18 inches (46 centimeters) wide and offers up to 6,400 pounds (2,903 kilograms) of impulse force, and the PC10 is 24 inches (61 centimeters) wide and hammers the ground with up to 8,000 pounds (3,629 kilograms) of impulse force.
