    Description
Skyhook Crane Boom & Flatbed Truck Bed – Truck-Mounted Crane – Sold Together Description Up for auction is a Skyhook truck-mounted crane boom and matching flatbed truck bed, being offered together as one lot. This equipment was previously mounted on a truck and utilized as a truck-mounted lifting system. The original truck is no longer in service, and the current seller retained the flatbed body and Skyhook crane assembly, which are now being offered together. The Skyhook crane is designed to be mounted to a properly engineered truck or flatbed chassis and provides a versatile lifting solution for contractors, equipment operators, service companies, construction operations, utility work, agricultural applications and other situations where a truck-mounted lifting boom can eliminate the need for additional lifting equipment. The unit appears to be a truck-mounted/aerial-style crane boom, with the crane and flatbed being sold together as pictured. The seller believes the crane is operational, although it has been out of service for an extended period. Buyers should inspect and verify operation, hydraulic function, controls, winch/cable system, structural components and all safety-related equipment prior to bidding. Equipment Included One lot includes both: Skyhook crane boom assembly Flatbed truck body/deck Crane mounting components remaining with the unit Hydraulic components and associated equipment shown in the photographs Other components shown with the crane/flatbed in the listing photographs The crane and flatbed are being sold together as one lot. The original truck/chassis is not included. Skyhook Crane Information Skyhook cranes are designed as truck-mounted lifting systems, providing a boom and lifting capability from the bed of a properly equipped truck. Used Skyhook equipment is commonly found in: Mounted boom truck applications Utility and service trucks Construction support Equipment installation Material handling Roofing and building-material delivery Agricultural service Equipment repair/service operations Industrial maintenance Specialty hauling and lifting applications Current used-equipment listings confirm Skyhook equipment is marketed as mounted boom truck cranes, including the Skyhook 65 and SP85 models. One current Skyhook 65 listing identifies a 100-foot reach, while an SP85HD is marketed on a GMC TopKick chassis. These examples demonstrate the range of truck-mounted Skyhook configurations, but those specifications should not be assumed to apply to this particular crane without confirming its model and load chart. Crane Specifications – Buyer to Verify Manufacturer: Skyhook Equipment Type: Truck-Mounted Crane / Boom Crane Configuration: Truck/flatbed mounted Boom: Telescoping/boom-style crane configuration Lifting System: Hydraulic crane system Mounting: Designed for installation on a suitable truck/flatbed chassis Flatbed: Included Crane: Included Load Capacity: Buyer to verify based on exact model, boom configuration and applicable load chart Maximum Reach: Buyer to verify Hydraulic Flow/Pressure: Buyer to verify with specific crane configuration IMPORTANT: TMJ Auctions has intentionally not stated a specific lifting capacity or maximum reach because the exact Skyhook model and applicable load chart have not been positively identified from the information available. Buyers should inspect the crane for a model/serial plate and independently verify all lifting specifications before putting the crane into service. Potential Applications This combination could be an excellent candidate for someone looking to build or replace a truck-mounted service crane. Potential applications include: Construction material handling Equipment loading and unloading Agricultural equipment service Farm and ranch applications Utility work Industrial maintenance HVAC equipment handling Roofing material handling Steel and fabrication work Machinery installation Service truck conversion Contractor truck Equipment recovery Shop/service vehicle Specialty hauling and lifting The ability to combine a flatbed with a mounted crane makes this type of equipment particularly useful for contractors and service businesses that routinely need to transport and position heavy components without relying on a separate forklift or mobile crane. Condition / Seller Notes Crane and flatbed came off of a truck that was no longer serviceable. The original truck/chassis is not included. Crane and flatbed are being sold together as one lot. Equipment has been sitting for an extended period. Seller believes the crane is operational. Operational status should be independently verified by the buyer. Due to the equipment's age and time out of service, buyers should expect that inspection, servicing, lubrication, hydraulic-system evaluation and/or repairs may be appropriate before putting the crane into commercial service. Flatbed and crane show weathering, surface rust and cosmetic wear consistent with their age and outdoor storage. Review all photographs and videos carefully for overall condition and completeness. Buyers should inspect: Crane boom sections Boom pins and bushings Hydraulic cylinders Hydraulic hoses and fittings Hydraulic reservoir and pump Winch and cable Hook and safety latch Crane controls Rotation mechanism Mounting structure Structural welds Flatbed frame Flatbed deck Outriggers/stabilizers, if equipped Electrical system Model and serial-number plates Load chart and manufacturer's identification A crane's lifting capacity varies significantly depending on boom extension, working radius, mounting configuration and other factors. Buyers are responsible for obtaining and reviewing the appropriate manufacturer's load chart before operating the crane. Loadout / Buyer Responsibility The seller does not have loading assistance available. TMJ Auctions will provide loading assistance for this lot by appointment. A loadout fee will apply. Loadout dates and arrangements will be scheduled near the conclusion of the sale, and special arrangements may be available by prior coordination with TMJ Auctions. Buyers should plan accordingly and contact TMJ Auctions in advance to coordinate loading. Buyer is responsible for providing appropriate transportation and securing the equipment for transport.
