    Description
The DeWalt Model GL is an exceptionally rare, massive industrial-grade radial arm saw manufactured by the DeWalt Products Co. during the early 1940s (around 1941).This is not a typical home-workshop tool; it was a production-line workhorse built out of heavy cast iron back when DeWalt saws were nicknamed the "Wonder-Worker". Specifications Overview: Because this model dates back to the WWII era, exact surviving data sheets are sparse, but verified historical registry details from vintage machinery outline these core capabilities. Blade Size: 20-inch diameter blade. Motor: Typically powered by a massive 5 HP to 7.5 HP industrial electric motor. Power Requirement: Operates on 3-Phase power (typically 220V/440V). It will not run on standard single-phase residential electricity without a heavy-duty phase converter. Capacities: Built to handle deep timbers, capable of roughly a 6-inch depth of cut at 90 degrees and an extensive crosscutting capacity. Total Weight: Estimated at well over 600–800 lbs due to the heavy semi-steel uniform cantilever arm and iron column structure. Needs new 3-phase plug. This unit has been in an inside storage unit and in long-term idle stage following the saw mill closure. Located in Cameron, AZ. Buyer responsible for loading. Winning bidders must bring their own labor and machinery to dismantle, load, and/or transport their items.
