Ferris Introduces New Stand-On Spreaders, Sprayers & Blowers At GIE+EXPO
Ferris, a Briggs & Stratton Corporation brand, recently unveiled a new lineup of stand-on spreaders, spreader/sprayers, and stand-on blowers at the Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO), which was held in Louisville, Kentucky, from October 17 through the 19th. The new lineup consists of the Ferris Rover FS1100 and Rover XC FS1200 granular spreaders, the Pathfinder XC FS2200 spreader/sprayer, Venture FS3100 and Venture XC FS3200 zero-turn spreader/sprayers, and FB2000 and FB3000 blowers.
“Commercial landscapers can now visit qualified Ferris dealers and choose products beyond just mowing,” says Dan Roche, marketing director, commercial products, at Briggs & Stratton. “Professionals have come to trust and demand the highest quality from our commercial mowers, and they can expect the same level of performance from our stand-on blowers, spreaders and spreader/sprayers.”
Rover Spreaders
The two new Rover granular spreaders both feature a corrosive-resistant, stainless-steel frame, dual-pivot sulky with ¾-inch tapered roller bearing, and intuitive controls with “the dry pattern and throttle on the right, and the spreader gain and gate control on the left,” according to Ferris. The Rover FS1100 model sports a hopper with a maximum capacity of 100 pounds that can cover around half of an acre, and the Rover XC FS1200 has a hopper with a capacity of 200 pounds that can cover up to 1.1 acres.
Pathfinder Spreader/Sprayers
The new Pathfinder XC FS2200 stand-on spreader/sprayer is designed for both dry and liquid fertilizer application. It features a stainless-steel frame, a Spyker hopper that can hold up to 200 pounds of dry fertilizer or 16 gallons of liquid fertilizer, and an adjustable spray system that lets you choose between a spray depth of 3 or 10 feet. It has a maximum coverage area of around 1.1 acres when applying dry materials and 1.4 acres when applying liquids.
Venture Spreader/Sprayers
Both the Venture FS3100 and XC FS3200 zero-turn spreader/sprayers come with a Vanguard V-Twin engine, a Hydro-Gear transaxle, and a dual spray system with two 12-gallon tanks that give it a coverage area of 2.2 acres when applying liquids. They also feature a three-section breakaway boom system that lets you choose between spray widths of 2, 4, 6, and 8 feet. The FS3100 has a 100-pound-capacity Spyker hopper that can cover up to half of an acre, and the XC FS3200 has a 200-pound hopper that can cover up to 1.1 acres.
