The New Snapper XD 82-Volt MAX Electric Lawnmower Matches User’s Walking Pace
Briggs & Stratton has added a new 21-inch (53.34-centimeter) Snapper StepSense Automatic Drive Cordless Electric Lawnmower and a utility cart side extension option to its Snapper XD 82-Volt MAX lawn and garden tool system. The 82V MAX system includes cordless walking mower, chainsaw, hedge trimmer, string trimmer, and leaf blower models, including an 82-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless walking mower.
StepSense Technology
Available via Snapper dealers and select online retailers (and backed by a five-year warranty), the StepSense Automatic Drive Cordless Electric Lawnmower features new StepSense technology that senses the user’s walking speed and automatically adjusts the mower’s self-propel function to match it.
“This intuitive technology allows homeowners to focus on the mowing job and hand, instead of manually changing the speed of the mower,” says Briggs & Stratton Marketing Manager Christin Wam.
Briggs & Stratton says the load-sensing technology also enhances battery life while ensuring a quality cut in varying conditions and cutting speeds. Other features include push-button starting and vertical storage ability. A dual-battery house-head, meanwhile, holds the mower’s two batteries, which provide up to an hour of run time. A single lever is included to adjust cut height among seven options.
More Cubic Feet
Snapper bills the utility cart side extension as a way to immediately increase the cart’s capacity from 3.7 cubic feet (0.104 cubic meters) to 9.1 cubic feet (0.26 cubic meters). Able to carry up to 220 pounds (100 kilograms) with the extension, the cart is constructed of weather-resistant material.
