Case IH has announced several updates to its portfolio of soil-management solutions, including a new rigid-mounted configuration of its Ecolo-Til 2500 in-line ripper. Case IH also announced that the Speed-Tiller disk tiller it introduced in November is now available to producers, and its Advanced Farming Systems Soil Command seedbed-sensing technology is now available for order from any Case IH dealer for the Case IH Tiger-Mate 255 field cultivator for spring 2021.

    The Prep Work

Case IH says every tool in its soil-management solutions portfolio is designed to create a healthy soil profile and produce field conditions that support greater yields through optimum residue management, ideal soil tilth, smooth field surfaces, and consistent seedbed floors. Chris Lursen, Case IH tillage marketing manager, says the latest updates reinforce Case IH’s commitment to create “a high-efficiency seedbed using soil-management solutions worthy of our Agronomic Design badge.”

Where the Ecolo-Til 2500 is concerned, the ripper’s new configuration is available with spring reset and shear bolt options. The former is billed as ideal for producers who consistently encounter “rugged, rocky conditions,” while the latter is aimed at those requiring additional shank protection in standard field conditions. The high-speed Speed-Tiller, meanwhile, stems from the Speedtiller series of disc tillers produced by K-Line Ag. Case IH brand owner CNH Industrial acquired the K-Line brand in November. Available in Speed-Tiller 465 rigid-mounted and 475 trailed models, Speed-Tiller is billed as a “true dual-season tool” for seedbed preparation.

    High-Efficiency Seedbeds

While noting the 2021 availability of AFS Soil Command seedbed-sensing technology for the Tiger-Mate 255, Case IH adds that producers are now using the technology to put finishing touches on their seedbeds with for such products as the Ecolo-Tiger 875 disk ripper, True-Tandem disk harrows, and True-Tandem vertical tillage tools. The farm machine manufacturer says that factory-installed seedbed sensors mounted to the Tiger-Mate 255’s shanks will provide “real-time feedback on seedbed quality” so that operators know when something is wrong and can make adjustments.
