BRP Wins Red Dot Awards For 2020 Can-Am Spyder RT & Two Other Products
In the past two years, BRP—owner of the Can-Am, Rotax, and Sea-Doo brands, among others—has won 22 design-related product awards. The impressive list includes 2020 Red Dot Design awards for the Can-Am Spyder RT, Rotax Sonic E-Kart, and the Sea-Doo GTI. Red Dot says its design award has “become established internationally as one of the most sought-after seals of quality for good design.” The organization gives out awards in the Product Design, Brands & Communications Design, and Design Concept categories, each decided by a jury of specialists in their respective areas.
“Fresh, Modern Appearance”
Of the Can-Am Spyder RT, the Red Dot jury said, "the three-wheeler offers a high level of riding comfort thanks to its innovative features, which are visually emphasized by its ample proportions.” Noting that BRP redesigned the RT from the ground up for 2020 to provide a better touring-driving experience, the jury stated that the Spyder RT’s design combines enhanced comfort and storage space with a “fresh, modern appearance” characterized by high-quality surface textures, striking color contrasts, and powerful lines. The jury also pointed out the RT’s improved seating, long touring footrest, full-color cockpit display for easier operation, and LED headlights for enhanced visibility.
