KUHN recently announced its next generation of pull-type mower conditioners, the FC 61 TC and TL series, designed for both clean mowing of heavy grasses and delicate forage crops. The new mower conditioners can form narrow windrows or wide swaths to provide operators with options to match their field conditions and harvesting practices.

The Optidisc Elite Advantage

The FC 1061 TC & TL Series feature the new Optidisc Elite cutterbar with a flat, streamlined profile to prevent soil and crop residue accumulation, prolong blade life, and ensure smooth material flow. The machines offer three conditioning options, DigiDry, Diamond Block, and DoubleCrimp, to allow operators to select which will best meet their needs. The DigiDry finger conditioner gives consistent drying for grass and legumes with minimal maintenance requirements. Diamond Block rubber rollers feature a horizontal staggered diamond pattern that creates more points for crimping of crops with flow from discs at multiple angles. The DoubleCrimp steel roller provides consistent crimping and feeding of thicker crops and is ideal for difficult and abrasive conditions.

Tight Turns

The mower conditioners also have the heavy-duty Gyrodine gearbox, designed to withstand the severe pull-through force from the hitch. Its swivel design keeps the PTO driveline straight during tight turns, giving you increased maneuverability without undue vibration and wear.
