Kawasaki Unveils 2022 Z900RS Motorcycle Lineup
Kawasaki recently introduced its new lineup of Z900RS motorcycles, an update of the original Z1 900, for the 2022 model year. The Z900RS family keep the traditional styling of the Z1 and add modern upgrades such as electronic rider support technology, an updated suspension, LED lighting, and digital instrumentation. The new line includes three models, each equipped with a 948-cc liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine, a six-speed return shift transmission, an assist and slipper clutch, traction control, and a horizontal back-link rear suspension.
Z900RS
The Z900RS has retro styling in spades, as evidenced by its classic teardrop fuel tank, round LED headlight and oval surface-emitting LED taillight, and bullet-shaped analog dials. The tuned stainless-steel exhaust system has double-walled headers, integrated connections, and a short megaphone silencer. The bike comes in Candy Tone Blue.
Z900RS Café
The Z900RS Café comes equipped with a café-racer-style front cowl, vintage graphics, and a tuned exhaust with brushed finish. It is available in Metallic Diablo Black.
Z900RS SE
The Z900RS SE features the iconic “yellow ball” styling with gold-colored wheels and outer fork tubes and a relaxed, retro-style riding position. It has a new Öhlins S46 rear shock with remote preload adjuster and a Brembo front brake package featuring M4.32 calipers. The Öhlins S46 rear shock has an aluminum body with single-tube construction, a large 46-millimeter piston, and internal air and gas chambers separated by a floating piston. The front brake package’s M4.32 radial-mount monobloc calipers provide stronger stopping power and precise control.
