Kinze Introduces Row Crop Tire Option For 1121 Harvest Commander Dual-Auger Grain Cart For 2023
Kinze is making a new 480/80 R42 row crop tire option available for its 1,100-bushel (38,763-liter) 1121 Harvest Commander dual-auger grain cart for the 2023 model year. The manufacturer has a number of other enhancements on tap, as well, all designed to make operators’ lives easier and using their carts more efficient.
“Kinze’s dual grain carts are built for long life, dependability, and ease of use,” says Kinze President Susanne Veatch. “We’re excited to offer these new features for 2023 to provide greater operator convenience and productivity during harvest season.”
Rolling Into 2023
Kinze says the 480/80 R42 row crop tire option is aimed at custom harvesters and farmers who tow their grain carts from one farm to another with a truck. A rocker axle design allows the outside dual tires to drop beside a trailer bed and reduce the overall transport height by 6 inches (15.2 centimeters), thus preventing clearance issues with road features such as low bridges. A swing axle design, meanwhile, gives operators easy access to the dual tires that speeds up and simplifies maintenance tasks.
Features For All
All Kinze dual-auger grain carts for 2023 will include a centralized grease bank that makes it easy to lubricate all row crop tire grease points quick and easy from the ground. Additionally, Kinze is offering an option for a remote scale readout that connects to the serial port on the scale head, giving combine operators a clear view. The grain carts are also gaining oversized wing fasteners that allow toolless access to the inspection cover and grain transfer cleanout areas.
The 1121 Up Close
Kinze’s dual-auger grain cart lineup ranges from 1,100- to 1,700-bu (59,906-L) capacities. Other models include the 1321, 1421, 1521, and 1721, which are variously available in track and wheel versions. Kinze also sells a 1051 single-auger variant.
The 1121 has a 550-bushels-per-minute (19,382-LPM) unloading speed. It’s also available with options for high-flotation Camso tracks or flotation tires. The grain cart includes 20-in. (50.8-cm) vertical and horizontal augers, a vertical auger tip spout that operators can control with a tractor’s selective control valve (SCV), horizontal auger cleanout doors, and a rolling tarp, just to name a few features.
