Good Design Award Recognizes Case IH Patriot 50 Series Sprayers
Case IH's Patriot 50 Series of self-propelled sprayers was recently named a 2022 Good Design award winner in the Industrial category. The Good Design awards are presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd., and recognize the “most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs produced around the world.” The awards have celebrated achievements in design excellence each year since 1950, with each submission evaluated by a jury based on criteria including innovative design, new technologies, concept function, utility, sustainability, and more.
Two Centuries Of Innovation
“We are honored and proud to be recognized, once again, with a Good Design Award; the oldest and most prestigious awards program organized worldwide,” says Scott Harris, Case IH global president. “This award proves Case IH’s two-century history commitment to serving farmers’ needs by providing innovative products and solutions to help them meet the challenges of today and growing demands of tomorrow.”
Patriot 50 Series Sprayers
Case IH designed Patriot 50 Series sprayers to deliver precision application for healthy, efficient crop growth without overapplication. The sprayers have a distinctive cab-forward, rear-engine design and a strong, durable boom that caught the eye of judges, who were also impressed by the advanced technology and connectivity solutions the sprayers offer. In the cab, operators benefit from ergonomic controls, customizable screens, and a unique four-bar linkage chassis suspension system for increased comfort in the field.
The sprayers are also equipped with LED lighting on the hood, cab, and tank, along with a center section beacon light for safety during nighttime operation and transport. The Patriot 50 Series has a convenient tip wash station mounted in the middle of the center section to provide an easy way for operators to clean off spray tips with an air nozzle and a water outlet. The integrated AutoBoom XRT Automatic Boom Height control option can detect and respond to changes in terrain for more accurate coverage.
