Case IH Updates Patriot 50 Series Sprayers & Trident 5550 Combination Applicator For 2024
Case IH parent company CNH Industrial recently detailed a series of updates to the manufacturer’s Patriot 50 Series self-propelled sprayers and Trident 5550 combination dry and liquid applicator for 2024. Patriot 50 sprayers for the model year come with options for the number and placement of AFS Pro 1200 displays and simplified boom deployment, while the Trident 5550 gets enhanced nozzle control. CNH Industrial says owners can expect greater efficiency and accuracy, among other benefits.
Customize Your Experience
Updates to the 3-model Patriot 50 Series enable customers to equip their sprayer with one or two AFS Pro 1200 displays or a combination of one AFS Pro 1200 and one Viper 4+ display. This allows operators to customize how they prefer to interact with vehicle, product, and guidance data and controls. In addition, the new AutoFold Plus feature allows for one-touch unfolding and folding of the boom. Case IH also added a center section spray tube guard for spray bar and nozzle protection and provides a midsize fender option tailored for full coverage of 480-size tires.
“We know today’s retail businesses and farm operations need a sprayer that goes beyond timely and accurate spraying to improve efficiencies and productivity,” says Case IH Application Marketing Manager Mark Burns. “With the Patriot 50 Series sprayer, we continue to prioritize complete vehicle control, a high level of precision in application, and a superior operator environment.”
Take AIM
Updates to the 390-horsepower (290-kilowatt) Trident 5500 combination applicator include the addition of the AIM Command Flex II system, which provides individual on and off nozzle control. The system also enables adjustable nozzle pulsing frequencies of 10, 15, or 20 times per second, plus higher flow rates and enhanced diagnostics. Customers looking to cover more acres per pass now can thanks to expanded boom options up to 135 feet (41 meters).
“With varying field conditions and short application windows, optimizing efficiencies is crucial,” says Burns. “The 2024 Trident 5550 combination applicator is offering a number of enhancements that we’ve carried over from the Patriot 50 series sprayers. These include push-to-connect hydraulics, a nozzle wash station, and increased product flow capabilities. We’re excited to bring these to our customers who like the idea of one piece of machinery for multiple seasons of use, but also want the latest in precision spraying.”
