New Holland unveiled its new CR10 combine at the recent Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. The manufacturer says the Class 9 companion to its all-new CR11 flagship will be available in North America for the 2025 harvest season. The CR10 shares numerous new features and the same architecture as its big brother, including twin 24-inch (61-centimeter) rotors and a new TwinClean cleaning shoe.

    Hop In The Cab

CR10 operators will sit in a redesigned cab that provides greater comfort, newly designed brake pedals and footpegs, premium seats, and a multizone climate control system now with floor-level air ducts. They’ll find a primary IntelliView 12 touchscreen terminal on the right console and a secondary one mounted to the A-pillar to control and monitor combine functions and to configure mapping and guidance performance.

Customers can opt for a 360-degree-view camera configuration that employs multiple cameras around the combine to obtain an in-cab view of the CR10’s rear, grain tank, unloading auger, and other key areas. An available LED lighting package comprising cab-mounted, stubble, unloading auger, grain tank, and other LED work lights ensures a clear view even during night harvesting.

    Bringing The Power

The CR10’s turbocharged 12.9-liter FPT Cursor 13 engine is rated for 635 gross horsepower (474 kilowatts) at 2,100 rpm. The combine has a 2-speed hydrostatic transmission and TerraLock semiautomatic differential lock, which is engaged manually and disengaged automatically depending on the steering angle and forward speed.

Buyers can equip the CR10 with tires or the SmartTrax track system (three track belt widths are available) upfront. New Holland says the SmartTrax triangular design provides 57% reduced ground pressure for better traction and reduced soil compaction. VF 900/65 R46 front tires co-developed with Michelin are included, but alternatives are available. Rear tire options include larger dual sizes and low-sidewall technology (LSW) tires.

    The Power Of 2

The CR10 has a 455-bushel (16,000-liter) grain tank and unloads grain at 4.5 bu (160 L) per second. Twin extended 24-inch (61-cm) rotors designed for optimized threshing and separation performance help fill the tank. New Holland’s Dynamic Feed Roll (DFR) system accelerates the crop and creates two even crop streams fed to the longitudinal threshing and separating rotors.

The TwinClean cleaning shoe features two sieve systems, each with an upper and lower sieve and a clean grain auger. Advanced automation sensors continuously monitor and adjust for even material distribution. New Holland says TwinClean can compensate for uneven feeding and up to 28% side slopes.

    Important Options

Customers can use the combine’s standard chopper for residue management or a premium high hood-mounted fine-chop unit. Both include an option to add IntelliSpread, automation technology that helps produce full-width, uniform residue spreading.

Existing and new header options include FD2 Series draper headers, including the new FD261 FlexDraper, and new 12- and 16-row configurations of 9200 Series corn heads.

New Holland includes the Core Precision Land Management (PLM) Intelligence technology package, which provides IntelliSteer auto-guidance and IntelliSense harvest automation technologies. The optional Advanced PLM Intelligence package provides higher-accuracy guidance solutions, IntelliField technology for sharing data among in-field vehicles, and the NutriSense nutrient-analysis system.
