New Kubota RTV-X Cab & RTV-X Crew Utility Vehicles Built For Almost Any Weather & Terrain
In mid-October, Kubota Tractor Corporation showed off two new RTV-X full-size utility vehicles at the Equip Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky. The new RTV-X Cab & RTV-X Crew models come standard with popular upgrades such as a climate-controlled cab and a second row of seating that converts to a longer cargo bed. The new Cab and Crew models also come with new, heavy-duty, multipurpose tires and an exterior redesign.
The RTV-X has a steel frame and a 24.8-horsepower (18.5-kilowatt) liquid-cooled diesel engine. The durable utility UTV addresses the needs of farmers, commercial operators, landowners, and recreational users with the versatility to handle construction, agriculture, turf care, and other jobs. Kubota says the RTV-X Cab and RTV-X Crew will be available in February 2025.
Three RTV-X Grades & Colors
Kubota will offer the new RTV-X Cab and RTV-X Crew in basic, standard, and premium grades. Buyers can upgrade the standard LED low-beam headlights to optional LED high beams. The Cab and Crew UTVs are available in Kubota orange, RealTree Camo, and desert sand colors.
“The RTV-X made a serious statement earlier this year with its rugged and durable chassis, Kubota diesel engine, and variable hydrostatic transmission,” says Jacob Mandoza, Kubota senior product manager, utility vehicles. “And now, the Cab and Crew Models offer operators their most valued options right from the factory: The Cab model prioritizes cab comforts while the Crew model prioritizes versatility to handle whatever the day may bring. These were logical enhancements following the success of the updated RTV-X, which launched last year. These models have had a ton of success in each of our primary customer markets, including ag, commercial, construction/rental, and residential.”
Kubota’s RTV-X Cab
The new RTV-X Cab model features a factory-installed cabin that reduces the operating noise level and keeps one or two people comfortable and dry. Its climate control system includes air conditioning, heat, and defrost. It also includes a hydraulic dump bed made of steel.
The premium-grade version of the RTV-X Cab adds a spray-on bedliner (optional in the other grades) and Kubota’s new ProKonvert system. ProKonvert lets users drop the sides and tailgate of the dump bed without the need for tools. This allows for easier loading and use as a flatbed.
Kubota’s RTV-X Crew
The RTV-X Crew includes Kubota’s K-Vertible bed system, which allows for toolless conversion of the second row of seating into an extension for the dump cargo bed. In its 2-row, 4-passenger mode, the RTV-X Crew has 9.9 feet3 (0.28 meters3) of storage and a cargo capacity of 661 pounds (300 kilograms). In the 2-passenger, single-row mode, the K-Vertible bed provides 19.1 ft3 (0.54 m3) of storage and a cargo capacity of 1,102 lbs (500 kg). The bed can dump its contents in either configuration.
RTV-X Features & Attachments
The RTV-X’s VHT-X transmission is a variable hydrostatic design. Kubota says the machine exhibits powerful acceleration and sure-footed downhill control through dynamic braking. Four-wheel drive and a foot-operated differential lock come standard. The base model RTV-X UTV has a top speed of 25 mph (40 km/h).
Kubota’s K-Connect and PTO drive system add to the versatility of the RTV-X and the new RTV-X Cab model with quick attachment support for blades, snowblowers, brooms, a debris blower, and more.
