Can-Am recently unveiled its all-new 2026 Outlander Electric ATV, with noise-reducing XPS Recon Force tires for extra-quiet operation and minimal vibration. The all-terrain vehicle also features a low-noise cooling system and an optimized suspension. It delivers 47 horsepower (35 kilowatts) and 53 pounds-foot (72 newton-meters) of torque.

“The Outlander Electric is a powerful, quiet, and capable ATV that reflects our commitment to innovation and sustainability,” says José Boisjoli, president and CEO of BRP. “This is another important step in our journey to play a leadership role in this technological evolution and to bolster our offering with completely new experiences.”

Electric ATVs For Work & Play

The Outlander Electric comes in two sizes: the standard model measures 89.9 by 48.1 by 49.6 inches (L x W x H; 2,283 by 1,222 by 1,260 millimeters), and the Max measures 98 by 48.1 by 56 in. (2,489 by 1,222 by 1,422 mm). They have the same engine, suspension, and other features, but the Max model has a removable passenger seat.

Can-Am’s newest ATV boasts instant throttle response, multiple ride modes (Normal, Sport, and Work), and high and low gears that can reach speeds of 50 mph (80 km/h). The standard model has a dry weight of 875 pounds (398 kilograms), and the Max weighs a tad more at 915 lbs (415 kg); both have a cargo capacity of 120 lbs (54.4 kg) on the front rack and 240 lbs (109 kg) on the rear rack, and both have a rated towing capacity of 1,830 lbs (830 kg).

With over 120 available accessories, the Outlander Electric offers a fully customizable experience tailored to any rider, any terrain, and any task.

    Outlander Electric Performance

The Outlander Electric comes with the same in-house modular Rotax E-power motor as BRP’s electric motorcycles and snowmobiles. It includes a liquid-cooled system comprising an 8.9-kilowatt-hour battery, inverter, and onboard charger. The Outlander Electric supports fast charging, going from 20% to 80% in as little as 50 minutes with a Level 2 charger. This means less downtime and more time exploring the ATV’s 50-mile (80-kilometer) range.
