Case IH Debuts Steiger 785 Quadtrac At Farm Progress Show
Case IH recently introduced its highest-horsepower tractor yet, the Steiger 785 Quadtrac. The newest Steiger, which made its public debut at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois, offers nearly 10% more horsepower than the Steiger 715 Quadtrac and 40% more torque. The tractor’s 853 peak horsepower (636 kilowatts) helps it pull larger implements, reducing the number of passes it takes to finish a field.
The Farm Progress Show, the largest outdoor farm event in the U.S., hosts over 600 exhibitors from around the world every year to display the latest agricultural products and technology.
“We understand the demands of farming are only increasing,” says Ken Lehmann, customer segmentation lead at Case IH. “The Steiger 785 Quadtrac is a workhorse designed to meet those demands with power and productivity. With long days in the field, the boost in horsepower and torque allows farmers to do more in a day.”
Steiger 785 Quadtrac Tractor Details
The Steiger 785 Quadtrac is agile for its size and easily pulls even large implements thanks to its 16-liter FPT engine. An optional heavy-duty suspended undercarriage provides enhanced traction and flotation while minimizing soil compaction. Three lighting packages are available to help extend the workday to early morning or late evening.
The Steiger has precision ag technology, including AccuTurn Pro and AccuSync, and FieldOps allows users to manage agronomic and machine information. Debris shields that come off without tools, an electrically actuated hood, an air filter access panel, and undercarriage fluid inspection caps simplify routine maintenance.
