Agco recently debuted the Massey Ferguson 5M Series utility tractors for the North American market to handle everything on the farm, from roadside work to hay handling. The 5M is made for long hours and multitasking, combining power, technology, and comfort for increased productivity.

"Massey Ferguson has a long-standing commitment to incorporating voice-of-customer input into every new product," says Kevin Lewallen, tactical marketing manager for Massey Ferguson. "The 5M Series continues that tradition with straightforward, purpose-built features and flexible options that reflect how today’s farmers and ranchers actually work — long hours, demanding jobs, and little room for downtime."

    About The 5M Series

The MF 5M Series offers four models ranging from 105 to 145 horsepower (78 to 108 kilowatts) and cab or open platform options. Two chassis sizes and choices of 12x12 or Dyna-4 transmissions allow further customization to ensure farmers get a tractor that meets their operation's needs. The 135 and 145 HP models have larger frames that enable lifting power of up to 11,500 pounds (5,216 kilograms) and the stability needed for handling large round bales or heavy municipal mowing attachments.

    Enhancing Efficiency

To ease operation, the tractor has a Brake to Neutral option for stop-and-go tasks, a mechanical joystick with a third-function button for grapples and bale squeezes. The 52-gallon (197-liter) fuel tank extends work time between fill-ups, and the Stage V emissions system reduces fuel costs. An optional Visio Roof provides better visibility when stacking hay or performing other loader tasks.

"When operators are in and out of hayfields all day, comfort and visibility matter," Lewallen says. "This design supports long workdays, whether stacking at dusk or working through peak summer heat. The tractor’s ergonomic layout has also earned international recognition, including a 2025 Red Dot Award for Product Design."
