Hy-Brid Lifts' Scissor Lift Lineup Meets U.S. ANSI & Canadian CSA Group Safety Standards

Lightweight scissor lift manufacturer Hy-Brid Lifts of Richfield, Wisconsin, recently announced that all its models now meet and exceed both U.S. and Canadian safety standards outlined in the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A92.20 and CSA Group B354.6 standards. President and CEO Terry Dolan says that although Canadian standards are very similar to their U.S. counterparts, it was important to note the achievement. “Canadian customers can buy confidently, knowing the product was certified through standards set forth by a Canadian governing body,” he says.

    Above & Beyond

Hy-Brid Lifts manufactures Push-Around, Pro Series, and Zero-Turn lightweight scissor lifts with working heights that range from 16 to 25 feet (4.9 to 7.6 meters) and platform capacities spanning 530 to 800 pounds (240 to 363 kilograms).

“The CSA certification, paired with the designs of our lifts, is an additional way to show we are producing the best equipment on the market,” Dolan says. “Customers are determined to find the safest, most efficient lifts for their operation, and we are here to deliver and go above and beyond those expectations.”

Among the Hy-Brid Lifts scissor lifts models now meeting both U.S. ANSI and Canadian CSA Group safety standards are the company’s new ZT-1630 zero-turn model shown here and the PS-1930 model from its Pro Series. (Photo courtesy of Hy-Brid Lifts.)

    All Aboard

All the company’s models passed stated requirements, Hy-Brid says, including its newest PS-1930 and ZT-1630 lifts. The 25-ft PS-1930 is the company’s tallest scissor lift. At 2,000 lbs. (907 kg), Hy-Brid says it weighs a fraction of competitors’ models. In addition to not requiring folding rails, it’s compatible with Hy-Brid’s LeakGuard fluid containment system and offers a slide-out deck extension, a full-swing entrance door, a parts tray, and non-marking tires.

Hy-Brid says the 22-ft (6.7-m) zero-turn ZT-1630 electric lift is an alternative to vertical mast lifts; it features a point-and-go-style drive that helps it maneuver confined spaces and lessens risks related to damage in finished jobsites. It has a 650-lb platform capacity and includes non-marking tires, USB ports, a tool holder, power to the platform, and a battery level indicator.
