Bobcat Launches M3-Series Wheel & Track Skid Steer Line
Bobcat recently launched its M3-Series of loaders, which includes the S510 and S590 skid steers and the T550 and T595 compact track loaders. All of the machines are powered by 2.4-liter Tier 4 diesel engines that produce between 55 and 70 horsepower (41 and 52 kilowatts) and don’t require a diesel particulate filter (DPF). These powerplants are specifically designed to increase available horsepower and torque for both the loader itself as well as the attachments. It benefits from an improved fuel filter and a dual-path cooling system as well.
Bobcat also designed the new M3-Series to be easier to service. For example, the tailgate swings open for easier access to engine checkpoints, and the cab tips up to provide access to hydrostatic and hydraulic systems. Other maintenance-related features include automatic machine shutdown, battery rundown protection, and on-board diagnostics.
Interior & Exterior Cab Features
The cab emphasizes operator comfort with an adjustable suspension seat, larger door for easier entry and exit, and a pressurized interior that prevents dust and other debris from entering the cab. Other interior and exterior cab feature include fingertip controls and a dial hand throttle, a 12-volt outlet for device charging, halogen lights, and all-around visibility.
Options include selectable joystick control, Bobcat MaxControl remote operation, automatic ride control, hydraulic bucket positions, LED side lights, air conditioning and heating, Bobcat Machine IQ Wireless Communications, and more.
Quick & Easy Attachment Changes
The M3-Series uses the Bobcat Bob-Tach system for attaching and removing attachments. The system makes it easier to swap attachments on the fly, with dozens of options to choose from that work seamlessly with the machine’s electric and hydraulic systems. There is also a Power Bob-Tach system available as an option on select models that allows for swapping non-hydraulic attachments without having to leave the cab.
