Bobcat Previews Innovations & Equipment It Will Highlight At The Utility Expo 2023
Bobcat plans to bring a lot of products to The Utility Expo 2023, scheduled to be held September 26 to 28 in Louisville, Kentucky. Show attendees will be invited to demo some of the machines and technologies at the manufacturer’s booth.
Electric Equipment
The Bobcat booth will feature a pair of zero-emissions, battery-electric construction machines, namely the S7X skid steer and the E19e compact excavator. The manufacturer says that its electric equipment avoids much of the vibration and noise of traditional diesel and hydraulic units, allowing the operator to work in more comfortable conditions.
Platinum Package Equipment
Bobcat offers a few limited-edition, Platinum package versions of certain loaders and compact excavators kitted out with the latest technology, premium comfort features, and distinctive styling. The company will showcase new models at The Utility Expo.
Portable Power
The Bobcat PA185vp and PA425v portable air compressors and PG40 generator are examples of portable power equipment the company has rebranded from the former Doosan Portable Power product line, which also includes newly Bobcat-branded light towers. Show attendees can view said models at the Bobcat booth.
Light Compaction
Bobcat will bring a couple of light compaction products to the show, specifically its R60P rammer and remotely operated TR75 trench roller. The product range also currently includes three forward plate compactors and three reversible plate compactors, as well as another rammer model.
E35 Excavator With Depth Check
The optional depth check accessory kit for Bobcat’s R2-series excavators helps the operator measure depth and grade with ± 0.5-inch (12.7-millimeter) accuracy without exiting the machine. The company’s E35 compact excavator will demonstrate the timesaving technology at the Expo.
MT100 Mini Track Loader
Bobcat’s MT100 mini track loader can go where a standard track or wheel skid steer can’t fit, yet it can wield a variety of attachments with impressive power. Its rubber tracks are sized to reduce ground pressure and minimize surface damage during operation.
UV34XL Gas Utility Vehicle
Bobcat’s UV34XL Gas side-by-side will appear at the show with the Grounds Ready Accessory Collection, which includes front and rear rash guards, extra lighting, a receiver hitch, and an aluminum bed box, among other things. The all-wheel-drive UTV has a 39.9-horsepower (29.8-kilowatt), 1,000-cc engine and seating for six people.
Technology & Innovation Concepts
Bobcat will present an interactive display to demo its upcoming collision warning and avoidance system, which it expects to become available on new compact track loaders and skid-steer loaders in 2024. The system can be set to audibly alert the operator to an object in the machine’s path or bring the loader to a stop automatically.
The manufacturer will also show off its advanced display technology concept for compact excavators, telehandlers, and loaders. Imagine a transparent head-up display presenting operational information on a windshield or side window without blocking the operator’s view of the jobsite. Now imagine the repositionable display is also a touchscreen the operator can use to manage machine settings.
Attachments
Bobcat plans to showcase its electric angle broom attachments for its electric loaders at The Utility Expo. The company’s booth will also highlight a variety of other attachments including buckets, augers, root grapples, and box spreaders.
