Case Introduces 651G Full-Size Wheel Loader To Help Landscapers Take On Bigger Jobs
The new Case 651G large wheel loader brings bigger features and more capabilities to landscaping crews and construction contractors. Case CE says the 30,890-pound (14,011-kilogram) loader is ready to move boulders, remove snow, and load trucks with mulch or other bulk materials.
“Many landscaping companies today are experiencing significant growth, but they also have a lot of challenges to navigate, like labor shortages, highly varied jobsites, and a very competitive market,” says Case Construction Equipment’s Vice President – North America, Terry Dolan. “Our newest launches aim to support landscapers in navigating these demands more effectively than ever with swift, smooth, smart machines right-sized for the scale of opportunity.”
Case 651G Configurations & Specs
The 651G has three optional loader configurations, including an extended reach version and a tool carrier compatible with brooms, forks, and more. Case says the wheel loader’s new curved bucket is better at material retention. The company lists the machine’s standard bucket size as 2.75 cubic yards (2.1 cubic meters), but other buckets are available.
The new 651G wheel loader has Z-Bar loader geometry, a breakout force of 25,446 pound-force (113.2 kilonewtons), and a lifting capacity of more than 16,100 lbs (7,303 kg). Case raised its hinge pin height by 4 inches (101 millimeters). The loader has a pivot pin height of 12.92 feet (3.94 meters), a full-lift dump height of 9.66 ft (2.94 m), and a full-lift reach of 2.75 ft (8.38 m). Its larger-capacity hydraulic pump provides more flow to speed up cycle times.
The 651G’s 172-horsepower (128-kilowatt), 6-cylinder engine by FPT has two power modes for fuel economy or maximum power. Its 4-speed Powershift transmission can be upgraded to a 5-speed, and its standard limited-slip differential axles can be swapped out at the factory with heavier-duty axles and a locking front differential. The loader’s maximum travel speed is 24 mph (38.6 km/h).
Controls & Visibility Features
Inside the roomy cabin of the Case 651G, a driver will notice visibility enhancements like the sizable, single-paned front window and a sloping hood to the rear. Options such as LED lighting and a rearview camera, which can be viewed in forward and reverse gear, help the operator maintain situational awareness in all directions. Comfort and convenience features include heating, air conditioning, heated seats, and Bluetooth radio and phone connectivity.
The cab includes a touchscreen display and adjustable electrohydraulic controls that let the operator separately adjust boom lift and bucket tilt responsiveness between smoother and more aggressive settings. An optional payload weighing system with detailed reporting ties into Case’s SiteWatch fleet management system. The telematics suite provides data collection, operational analysis, remote diagnostics, and many other benefits.
