Ascendum Machinery Reaches Buyers Worldwide With Machinery Trader, AuctionTime & More
Doug Wilson became familiar with Sandhills Global as an auctioneer, frequently running into AuctionTime representatives at sales. Today, he’s the director of remarketing at Ascendum Machinery, the world’s largest Volvo dealer. While attending the Sandhills Global Forum in June, Wilson shared insights into how Ascendum benefits from using various Sandhills products.
Meeting Customer Demands With Diversified Solutions
Ascendum Machinery has 14 branches in the U.S., offering sales, rental, leases, repairs, and maintenance of construction equipment from Volvo and other leading brands. To support its efforts, the company has a Machinery Trader-hosted website to showcase used equipment for sale. The company also uses Sandhills’ Value Insight Portal (VIP), AuctionTime platform, and Historical Records tool, among other solutions.
“What Sandhills and Machinery Trader have to offer us is above and beyond what everybody else has,” Wilson says. “The diversification is pretty amazing when you look at the whole scope of the picture.” Wilson also appreciates the global sales leads that Sandhills helps to generate for the company.
“We get so many leads from overseas each week, and even if we get a hundred inquiries and only sell three machines, it’s well worth it. They come from everywhere. There’s no place in the world that I feel Sandhills doesn’t touch,” he says.
