Utility Introduces New Drop Deck Flatbed Trailer
The Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company recently introduced a new entry in its line of flatbed trailers with the 4000AE Drop Deck. The new trailer builds on the company’s previous 4000AE combo flatbed trailer and uses a combination of aluminum and steel to create a lightweight but sturdy product.
The new 4000AE Drop Deck flatbed trailer is unique because although it weighs less than your average all-aluminum trailer, you can get it for the cost of a combo-trailer. It has a 39,000-pound (17,690-kilogram) coil haul package, 3- and 4-inch (8- and 10-centimeter) aluminum crossmembers over 8-inch (20-centimeter) centerlines, and measures 5 feet (1.5 meters) across. Utility Trailer showed off its new 4000AE Drop Deck flatbed trailer at the Mid-America Trucking Show last week.
More From Utility Trailer
In addition to the new 4000AE Drop Deck flatbed trailer, Utility Trailer also sells dry vans and reefer trailers as well as other flatbed trailers. Other models in the flatbed range aside from the 4000AE include the 4000S, which is highly customizable for heavy-duty applications well as those that require a wood floor. There are also Utility’s standard Drop Deck trailer and the Tautliner, which you can load and unload much like a flatbed trailer, but comes in a curtainside design to protect all of the valuable cargo inside of it.
